With the weather becoming hot and wet, it’s the perfect time for ticks to be out and about.

We are anticipating a BIG rise in tick cases over the next couple of months. Many vet clinics, including our own, become inundated with very sick pets due to paralysis tick poisoning. We cannot stress enough the importance of tick-preventative medication. 

Many tick preventatives both repel and kill ticks once they attach to your pet, preventing harmful symptoms. Due to a bad tick season, there is currently a high demand for the medication needed to treat tick paralysis, which has caused a shortage in supply. This is even more reason to ensure your pet is on tick-preventative medication.
